Betis 25-26 Sustainability Kit – Partly Made From Oranges

  • Kit Composition: The Hummel Betis Forever Green football shirt is made from orange peel fibre, wood cellulose, and recycled polyester, avoiding virgin plastic.
  • Unique Feature: The shirt numbers have scratch-and-sniff technology, releasing an orange blossom scent using sustainable ink.
  • Sustainability Initiative: The kit launch marks the fifth edition of Betis’ sustainability match concept, addressing environmental issues since 2022.

Real Betis has revealed a special limited-edition Hummel kit made partly from orange peel fibres as part of their annual Forever Green sustainability match, this year against Rayo Vallecano on February 21st.

The Hummel Betis 25-26 Forever Green football shirt is composed of 16.2% organic fibre derived from orange peel, 37.8% Lyocell from wood cellulose, and 46% recycled polyester, entirely eliminating the use of virgin plastic.

Remarkably, the numbers on the Hummel Betis 25-26 Forever Green shirt feature scratch-and-sniff technology using a sustainable, chemical-free ink that releases the scent of orange blossom when scratched, with specialist manufacturer STAHLS TPT responsible for producing the numbers, names, and sponsor lettering.

Color-wise, the Hummel Real Betis Balompié 2025-2026 Forever Green jersey combines Betis’ corporate green with a darker shade inspired by orange tree leaves and the sandy “albero” tone emblematic of Seville’s historic identity. The launch marks the fifth edition of Betis’ sustainability match concept, which has previously tackled issues including recycling, water management, and invasive algae since the initiative began in 2022.
